According to the results of the first week of October, the average daily volume of grain cargo and meal transfer through western border crossings increased by 84%. This was discussed during an online meeting of representatives of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia with agricultural market participants on October 9, writes RAIL.insider.As noted by Valeriy Tkachev, Deputy Director of the Department of Transportation Technology and Commercial Work of UZ, the total average daily rate of grain and meal transfer through western border crossings is currently 125 wagons. This is 57 units (or 84%) more than in September.
Currently, the volume of grain transfer through Ukrainian-Slovak border crossings has increased most significantly - by 8.7 wagons per day. The indicator is 22.1 units per day.The number of wagons with grain heading to Poland has also increased. The current volume reaches 14.3 units per day. This is 3.1 wagons higher than the September figure.The volume of grain transfer through Ukrainian-Hungarian border crossings increased by 2.7 units compared to September. It is 16.4 wagons per day. At the same time, not a single wagon with grain was transferred to Romania.As previously reported, the volume of grain transfer at western border crossings decreased in September.
