Between January and September 2026, 222,288 new sole proprietorships were registered in Ukraine, while 155,645 entrepreneurs ceased operations. Consequently, the net growth in the small business sector amounted to 66,643 sole proprietorships.
Positive trends were recorded in 22 regions of Ukraine. Kyiv led in terms of growth (+7,751 sole proprietorships), followed by the Dnipropetrovsk (+7,333), Lviv (+6,963), and Kyiv (+6,510) regions.
These figures indicate sustained small business activity and the continued creation of new entrepreneurial ventures in Ukraine.
