Agricultural sector revenues have increased: the market is strengthened by large holding

The profit of agricultural companies in 2025 increased by almost 15%, and the market continues to consolidate around large holdings.
In 2025, Ukrainian agribusiness demonstrated an increase in key financial indicators. The total revenue of enterprises in the industry reached UAH 1.28 trillion, an increase of 6.7% compared to 2024, when it was about UAH 1.2 trillion. According to data from the analytical service VKURSI Market BI, the sector's net profit increased even more noticeably - by almost 15%, to UAH 203 billion.
According to analysts, the study included agricultural enterprises without taking into account individual areas, such as forestry, fishing and hunting.
Among the companies that earned more than UAH 1 billion in profit in 2025, there were both independent players and representatives of large agricultural holdings. In particular, the list of leaders includes:
Druzhba-Nova - 1.92 billion UAH
Ukraine 2001 - 1.79 billion UAH
Agroprodservice - 1.61 billion UAH
Agrarnaya Kompaniya 2004 - 1.39 billion UAH
Vinnytsia Poultry Farm - 1.38 billion UAH
As experts note, 8 of the 12 largest companies are part of large industrial groups. Among them are the structures of the Kernel agricultural holding, the Vitagro group and MHP. This indicates the ongoing concentration of the market.
In addition, some companies have foreign capital. In particular, Cypriot investments are represented in Druzhba-Nova and Enselco Agro, Danish capital is in Goodwell Ukraine, and Swedish capital is in Baryshiv Grain Company.
As analysts report, an important indicator of the efficiency of agricultural companies remains the presence of their own vehicles, which directly affects logistics and cost. The largest fleet among the surveyed enterprises was recorded at "Druzhba-Nova" - 688 units of equipment. In contrast, "Agro-Verbivchik" - only 2 vehicles.
In general, according to experts, the growth of income and profit in the agricultural sector is accompanied by a strengthening of the role of large players and an increase in management efficiency, in particular due to control over logistics processes.
