Rare earth metals are indispensable in the production of many modern devices, including smartphones or electric cars, as well as other high-tech products. In addition, they are also indispensable in the defense industry and aerospace industry. Significant reserves of critical raw materials can become a significant factor in economic growth in Ukraine; for this, transparent conditions for subsoil use should be created and investment barriers should be overcome. Ukraine has the potential to become one of the key suppliers of many critical natural resources, thus diversifying the global supply chains of "many of them, if not all of them".
