Canada opens market for Ukrainian table eggs: international certificate agreed

Ukraine and Canada have agreed on the form of an international veterinary certificate for the export of table eggs, which opens up new opportunities for Ukrainian producers in one of the most developed markets in the world.This was reported by 24 Channel with reference to the Union of Poultry Farmers of Ukraine. From now on, Ukrainian enterprises will be able to officially export table eggs to Canada, complying with all the requirements of local legislation. The corresponding form of the certificate was approved by the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection (State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection).

The official website of the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection has published a full list of requirements that Ukrainian suppliers must meet. In particular, these include:

• conditions for transportation and storage of products;
• requirements for egg labeling;sorting standards;
• the presence of salmonellosis control programs for different categories of egg products.

Also in the "International Cooperation" section on the service's website, the form of the international veterinary certificate itself has been published, which must accompany all batches of eggs exported to Canada.This decision was the result of long-term cooperation between the competent authorities of Ukraine and Canada and is another step towards expanding the geography of exports of Ukrainian agricultural products.
