The international agricultural holding "MHP", one of the leaders of the Ukrainian agricultural sector, has entered a new era of bioenergy by launching commercial production of liquefied biomethane (Bio-LNG) and making the first delivery of this renewable fuel to a partner in the European Union.According to the company, biomethane is produced entirely from poultry manure and other organic agricultural waste. The product is certified according to the international ISCC EU standard and meets the strict criteria of the EU Renewable Energy Directive RED II/III, which confirms its environmental sustainability."MHP" has been systematically developing the bioenergy sector for over a decade. The holding owns one of the largest biogas project portfolios in Europe, and is now supplementing it with the production of liquefied biomethane (Bio-LNG), which is becoming increasingly popular in the transport industry. One of the company's key assets is the biomethane plant "Oril-Lider" (Dnipropetrovsk region) with a capacity of 11 million m³ per year. On February 11, it exported 27.4 thousand m³ of biomethane across the Ukrainian-Polish border to Germany, where the international energy company Vitol acted as its buyer.
