American AI company OpenAI, developer of the ChatGPT chatbot, has released a preview of its Codex tool, designed to perform tasks in the field of programming using artificial intelligence.Codex will be able to perform several tasks simultaneously, including writing software code, correcting errors in it, testing and answering questions, the company said in a statement.
The new solution is based on the codex-1 model - a version of the o3 model optimized for software development, and will be available to ChatGPT users within the Pro, Team and Enterprise tariff plans.Codex will help developers delegate more tasks, says OpenAI. The program works in the "cloud" and can produce a ready result in 1-30 minutes.OpenAI also claims that the new tool is better than analogues in adapting to the client's programming style and assisting in code verification.
