The State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" has announced the purchase of a batch of five harvesters for maintenance felling and forest formation as part of its investment program for 2025, the press service of the state enterprise reported.According to "Forests of Ukraine", one such machine harvests 60–70 cubic meters of wood per day, which is three to four times more than a team of three workers who can harvest 15–20 cubic meters. At the same time, the average cost of wood harvesting services during such felling (excluding removal) is UAH 425/cubic meter excluding VAT, and the cost price of mechanized harvesting is UAH 300/cubic meter excluding VAT. Savings per year can amount to over UAH 8 million.Since such equipment is practically not represented on the Ukrainian market, the state enterprise sent requests directly to the manufacturing plants.
