Nvidia to launch Europe’s first cloud platform for industrial AI

The American company Nvidia plans to build Europe’s first cloud platform for industrial artificial intelligence.The new infrastructure will be concentrated in Germany — it will become part of a large-scale project to develop AI technologies on the continent. The platform will combine artificial intelligence with robotics and will be focused primarily on the automotive industry. It is about supporting BMW and Mercedes-Benz in modeling product design, optimizing logistics and other production processes.As part of the European initiative, Nvidia also plans to open 20 new so-called “AI factories” — large centers for developing and training AI models. The company intends to expand technology hubs in seven EU countries on a large scale, support the development of language models and promote innovation in pharmaceuticals, collaborating with Novo Nordisk.Recall that the European Commission is investing $1.4 billion in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and digital skills as part of the Digital Europe program for 2025-2027. Also in February, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, presented a plan to attract €200 billion to develop the AI ​​industry in Europe.
