An official screening of Ukrainian legislation in the fields of transport and trans-European transport networks has taken place.The press service of the Ministry of Development and Trade reported this.“For four days, from June 24 to 27, an official screening of the compliance of Ukrainian legislation with EU norms under two negotiation chapters – 14 “Transport” and 21 “Trans-European Transport Networks” (TEN-T) – was held in Brussels,” the ministry noted.Based on the results of the screening, the European Commission is preparing a report that will serve as a basis for the start of negotiations under individual chapters.
The report will be presented in 6 weeks.In total, the Ukrainian side made 77 presentations as part of the screening. Each presentation concerned a separate topic and included discussions with representatives of the European Commission.The ministry reminded that in the transport sector, Ukraine needs to implement almost 400 regulatory legal acts out of over 3,000 analyzed. This concerns compliance with key European directives.
