In 2025, carbon markets are becoming an important source of income for Ukrainian farmers who implement regenerative practices such as minimum tillage, cover crops and organic fertilizers. The AgreenaCarbon program, which has received Verra Verified Carbon Standard certification, works with over 2,300 farms in Europe, offering farmers the opportunity to monetize soil carbon. Thanks to satellite monitoring and independent verification, certificates become reliable for buyers such as LDC, MAPRE and Radisson. In 2023, farmers received about 30 euros per certificate, and demand and payments are growing. Carbon markets not only diversify incomes, but also increase the resilience of farms in the face of climate and military challenges.
