The price index of base load electricity BASE on the day-ahead market (DAM) of Ukraine for 20 days of August 2025 was 5,409.89 UAH/MWh, increasing by 8.1% compared to the same period in July (5,005.05 UAH/MWh) and continuing the dynamics of price growth for the second month in a row.As reported, for 20 days of July this indicator increased by 6.9% compared to the same period in June (4,680.71 UAH/MWh).In turn, according to data from JSC "Market Operator", the weighted average purchase and sale price of electricity on the DAM for the first two decades of August was recorded at the level of 5,566.21 UAH/MWh, which is 9.5% more than for the 20 days of the previous month (5,085.14 UAH/MWh).On the intraday market (IDM), the weighted average price of electricity accepted during the 20 days of August was 5,384.15 UAH/MWh, which is 10.8% higher than the weighted average price formed for the first two decades of July - 4,857.82 UAH/MWh.
"The volume of electricity trading on the DAM for 20 days of August is 1,611,278.6 MWh, 97,428.7 MWh were accepted on the IDR. Compared to the same period in July, the volume of trading on the DAM for 20 days of August decreased by 10.75%, supply decreased by 10.75%, demand fell by 10.71%," the Market Operator reported. According to ENTSOE, Ukraine took first place in the average daily BASE price index on the DAM 13 times in 20 days of August (August 2-4, 6, 8-11, 13-14, 17-19), when compared with 26 European countries.
