Ukraine was the leader in the average daily price index BASE on the day-ahead electricity market (DAE) 16 times in August (August 2-4, 6, 8-11, 13-14, 17-19, 29-31), when compared with 26 European countries. According to ENTSOE data, Italy also led the way in this indicator 10 times last month (August 1, 5, 7, 12, 15-16, 23-25, 27).As of August 31, in particular, the highest base load electricity price index BASE on the DAE of Ukraine was 5,101.38 UAH/MWh. The lowest was recorded in France – 908.55 UAH/MWh.As reported, the price index of base load electricity BASE on the Ukrainian DAM for 20 days of August 2025 was 5,409.89 UAH/MWh, increasing by 8.1% compared to the same period in July (5,005.05 UAH/MWh) and continuing the dynamics of price growth for the second month in a row.In July, Ukraine led the BASE price index on the DAM among 27 European countries five times (July 18, 27-30), in June – six times (June 1, 7, 8, 10, 28 and 29), in May – 11 times (May 1-8, 11, 17 and 25), in April – five times (April 16, 17, 27, 28 and 29). According to the results of 2024, Ukraine ranked third among 27 European countries according to the specified BASE index on the DAM, which amounted to 4,522.87 UAH/MWh calculated according to Central European Time (CET).
