In September of the 2025/26 marketing year, Ukraine exported a record monthly volume of rapeseed oil — 108.8 thousand tonnes, which is 4.5 times more than in August. The bulk of the supplies, 92 thousand tonnes (85% of total exports), were sent to the European Union.
In September, the bulk of Ukrainian rapeseed oil exports, 92 thousand tonnes or 85% of the total, were sent to the European Union, setting a record for this direction. Thanks to this, Ukraine regained its leadership among rapeseed oil suppliers to the EU, overtaking Kenya, which dominated the market in July-August. For the period from July to September 21, the country exported 23 thousand tonnes, compared to 49 thousand tonnes in the same period last year.The increase in shipments of Ukrainian rapeseed oil is due to the intensification of domestic rapeseed processing after the introduction of an export duty on rapeseed on September 4. Because of this, many farmers preferred to sell raw materials on the domestic market, which led to a higher utilization of processing capacities, especially against the background of limited sunflower supply.
