In 2025, the situation on the Ukrainian labor market remains stable. According to the State Employment Service, since the beginning of the year, about 520 thousand citizens have used its services, of which 300 thousand were employed, 80 thousand were trained, and 10 thousand received grants to open or develop their own business.
More than 240 thousand job offers are currently available on the single job portal. Competition between candidates is decreasing, which indicates that the labor market is transitioning to a phase when employees have more opportunities to choose an employer. The average salary in open vacancies is about 23 thousand hryvnias, which is two thousand more than last year. The highest demand is observed in the areas of security and defense, IT, real estate, communications, auto business, HR and insurance.
Among the most sought-after specialists are software engineers, software testers, truck drivers, crane operators, managers, auto electricians, auto mechanics, and alignment technicians. Employers are increasingly reviewing the requirements for candidates, offering flexible schedules, social packages, or additional bonuses to attract and retain employees.A large share of vacancies traditionally falls on mass professions - salespeople, administrators, cooks, security guards, baristas, seamstresses, sales representatives, bakers, accountants, engineers, doctors, mechanics, electricians, teachers, and loaders. The Cabinet of Ministers recently increased monthly bonuses for teachers in front-line schools to 4,000 hryvnias, and women can now master 31 technical specialties with guaranteed employment after training.
