The index of completed construction work in Ukraine in January-September 2025 increased by 15.5% compared to the same period in 2024. This is evidenced by data from the State Statistics Service.Non-residential construction experienced significant growth - by 34.2% year-on-year. Residential construction increased by 11% year-on-year, while the engineering construction segment saw growth of 7.5% year-on-year. Overall, construction of buildings (residential and non-residential) increased by 26.3% year-on-year.In monetary terms, the volume of construction products produced in January-September amounted to UAH 164.55 billion, in particular, in the construction sector - UAH 74.86 billion (UAH 22.84 billion - residential buildings; UAH 52 billion - non-residential), engineering structures - UAH 89.69 billion.The share of new construction in the total volume of construction work performed in January-September of the current year was 42.6%, repairs - 31%, reconstruction and technical re-equipment - 26.4%.
In September, construction in Ukraine grew by 22.6% year-on-year and 6.6% month-on-month, in particular:buildings (+30.3% year-on-year; +10.3% month-on-month);
residential buildings (+18.1% year-on-year; +1.8% month-on-month);
non-residential buildings (+35.7% y/y; +13.9% m/m);
engineering structures (+16.3% y/y; +3.4% m/m).
The volume of construction work performed in Ukraine last year increased by 15.5% y/y – to UAH 204.7 billion. In terms of individual segments, the increase in the volume of construction work last year occurred as follows: residential construction – by 7.6% y/y, to UAH 26.6 billion; non-residential construction – an increase of 26.2% y/y, to UAH 57.7 billion; engineering structures – an increase of 12.5% y/y, to UAH 120.4 billion.In 2024, the share of new construction in the total volume of construction work performed was 41.1%, repairs - 32.6%, reconstruction and technical re-equipment - 26.3%.
