Fermentation plants are a real tool for recycling animal waste

Ukraine critically needs technologies to meet European requirements for recycling animal waste, as well as for the environmental safety of communities.This was stated on Facebook by Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture Taras Vysotskyi following a visit to the Mayak Agricultural Company in Cherkasy Region.He noted that the main purpose of the trip was to see in practice how a modern fermentation machine for processing animal waste works. The enterprise currently operates a modern plant that allows for the quick and safe processing of organic waste — including dead animals, scraps, bones and other biomaterials. The process consists of five stages:division into parts; grinding; fermentation; disinfection; drying.
Everything happens odorlessly and without harmful emissions — thanks to special microorganisms. In 25 hours, the machine can process 2 tons of waste, and after mixing with straw (70/30), an ecological organic fertilizer is obtained. The yield is up to 50% of the load volume.Such technologies make it possible to:eliminate environmentally hazardous waste;reduce the risks of spreading diseases;reduce the burden on the environment;create useful fertilizers within the framework of a circular economy.
Ukraine must switch to completely safe and modern methods of disposing of livestock waste in accordance with European standards. Fermentation plants are a real tool for modernizing the industry, increasing biosafety and production efficiency.
