Sea exports are working: how many cargoes and vessels have passed through the Ukrainian corridor

Ukraine continues to ensure stable operation of sea exports and fulfill its role in strengthening global food security. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba during a meeting with representatives of the Sea Ports Administration of Ukraine in the Odessa region, Dengi.ua reports.It is noted that the Ukrainian Sea Corridor continues to function under conditions of increased operational risks.

 

Since its launch, more than 162 million tons of cargo have been transported through the corridor, including more than 98 million tons of grain. In total, the route has been used by almost 7 thousand vessels.To ensure stable operation of ports, additional measures are taken daily to increase the level of security. The Sea Ports Administration of Ukraine, together with specialized services and business representatives, is working on the protection of infrastructure facilities and the safe passage of vessels.A separate area remains the care of port personnel. The construction of protective shelters is underway, which allows to increase the level of safety of workers during emergencies.In addition, energy sustainability is a priority for the port industry. Backup power supply systems are being introduced, cogeneration units are being installed, and critical facilities are being modernized. This allows ports to adapt to energy restrictions and maintain the stability of export operations.As Dengi.ua reported, in 11 months of 2025, Ukraine's trade turnover reached $112.2 billion. At the same time, according to the publication, exports and imports of cheeses on the Ukrainian market are growing at the same pace.
