In 2024, Ukrainian publishing houses achieved significant success, selling over 758,000 copies of the 15 most popular books. Among these bestsellers, three works by Ukrainian authors stand out:
“I See, You’re Interested in Darkness” – Illarion Pavlyuk, the novel attracted the attention of readers with its fascinating plot and deep psychologism.
“There Is Land Beyond Perekop” – Anastasia Levkova. The book, which reveals little-known pages of Ukrainian history, became a real discovery for many.
“Walls in My Head” – Volodymyr Stanchyshyn, in which the author skillfully explores the inner world of a person, touching on topical topics of our time. In general, Ukrainian readers in 2024 preferred thrillers and novels, in particular translated literature.
However, the presence of Ukrainian authors among the best-selling authors indicates a growing interest in domestic literature and its competitiveness in the book market.
