The Cabinet of Ministers has optimized customs procedures in ports

The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a resolution that provides, in particular, for internal transit by neighboring states without providing guarantees for the payment of customs payments. This was reported by the State Customs Service. The aforementioned resolution was developed with the aim of:– preventing the accumulation of a large number of vehicles during customs formalities in customs control zones at checkpoints located in sea and river ports;– strengthening the security component associated with the vulnerability of critical port infrastructure facilities during air attacks by the Russian Federation;– creating favorable conditions for alternative chains of import of goods into Ukraine, in particular critical ones, due to the destruction of transport infrastructure in certain regions of Ukraine, by moving them through the territory of other states, in particular the Republic of Moldova, with exemption from guaranteeing goods in case they are placed in the customs transit regime.

The changes provide the possibility of releasing goods transported in containers into the customs transit regime (in particular, internal) before the entry of vehicles into the port for the export of such goods from the port if the risk management system has not formed a form of control. They also make it possible to carry out internal transit by neighboring states without providing guarantees for the payment of customs payments.
