Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Ryabykin held a meeting of the Expert Working Group on the issues of initiating, preparing, supporting and implementing joint projects with the European Investment Bank within the framework of the Emergency Loan Program for the Recovery of Ukraine, the Ukraine Recovery Program and the Ukraine Recovery Program III. He noted that based on the results of this work, a list of projects recommended for financing is being formed. First of all, we are talking about supporting front-line territories. Most of the projects concern the construction of shelters, the repair of medical facilities, as well as the restoration and modernization of heat and water supply systems.
All projects supported by the working group are submitted for approval to the European Investment Bank.
Based on the results of considering the proposals of communities during three meetings, the working group approved 8 projects in the Sumy region for financing. 9 projects in the Kharkiv region were also approved. 6 projects were approved in the Chernihiv region.
At the previous meetings, 45 projects in frontline regions were approved: 4 projects in Zaporizhia region, 2 projects in Donetsk region, 13 projects in Dnipropetrovsk region, 15 projects in Mykolaiv region, 11 in Odessa.
In total, 223 projects with a financial request of UAH 9.4 billion were proposed by communities in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv, Odessa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions.
The projects are financed within the framework of the Ukraine Recovery Program III (tranche B), which is implemented by the Government of Ukraine jointly with the European Investment Bank. The total amount of the agreement is EUR 100 million.
