The agricultural sector’s revenue of $24.7 billion in 2024 is not just an impressive indicator, but also another step towards a more sustainable development of the agricultural economy. In particular, 59% of foreign exchange earnings is an important factor, since foreign exchange earnings are of great importance for the economic stability of Ukraine, especially in conditions of limited opportunities for other sectors.
The largest amount of income was received from the sale of sunflower oil abroad. Thus, almost six million tons of sunflower oil were exported for $5.1 billion. This is 21% of total exports.The second place in exports is taken by corn. It was exported for 29.6 million tons for $5 billion. In third place in exports is wheat. 15% of total exports. This is 20.6 million tons for $3.7 billion.The leaders are also rapeseed, which accounts for seven percent of total exports (3.8 million tons for $1.8 billion), soybeans – 5% (3.4 million tons for $1.3 billion), cake and residues obtained during the extraction of vegetable fats and oils – 4% (4.7 million tons for $1 billion).
