Ukrainian enterprises of the mining company Ferrexpo, which owns the Poltava, Eristivka and Bilanivka Mining and Processing Complexes (GZK), will no longer receive automatic value added tax (VAT) refunds from March 2025. This is due to the decision of the Ministry of Industry of Ukraine, which has caused concern among enterprises in the industry.The consequence of this step is a reduction in production volumes and a decrease in jobs, which in turn will affect tax revenues to budgets of all levels. Financial difficulties may negatively affect the activities of Ukrzaliznytsia and Ukrainian ports, which risk losing a significant part of cargo exported to countries in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
