The average profitability of the biomethane business is quite attractive - 25-30%.This was stated in an interview with the magazine "Our Poultry Farming" by the chairman of the board of the public union "Bioenergy Association of Ukraine", a member of the board of the European Bioenergy Association, Heorhiy Geletukha, writes AgroTimes."If we are talking about a large biomethane plant with an annual production of about 10 million m³ of biomethane, such construction will cost about 16-17 million euros," he noted. "At biomethane prices of 900 euros per 1 thousand m³, the expected profitability will reach 25-30%.Heorhiy Geletukha added that the payback of such a project is expected in 3-4 years.
