Of the total amount, €70 million will be received by Ukrgasbank as part of the Ukraine Economic Resilience Facility initiative. The financing will be used for long-term lending to small and medium-sized enterprises, which will help preserve jobs, strengthen business competitiveness and promote the development of the private sector.Particular attention is paid to the “green transition” of the economy — investments in increasing energy efficiency, introducing environmental technologies and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.Another €30 million (€15 million each through Ukrgasbank and Ukreximbank) will be allocated to repair and upgrade district heating systems in communities affected by Russian attacks.
These funds will ensure stable heat supply to hospitals, schools and residential buildings, as well as reduce dependence on centralized systems. This decision complements a previous agreement between the EIB and Naftogaz of Ukraine on the formation of gas reserves before the start of the heating season. In addition, the government has allocated an additional UAH 100 million to support critical infrastructure in Odessa. Work continues on strengthening port security, developing logistics and stabilizing the maritime corridor.
