Ukraine strengthens its position in European markets thanks to the logistics routes of the West

The western regions of Ukraine are playing an increasingly important role in ensuring trade relations with Europe. According to expert Mykola Kovzel, the main volume of export and import cargo passes through Lviv region, Transcarpathia and other border regions today, Dengi.ua reports.The expert notes that a new logistics map of the country is being formed, centered on the development of border crossings, warehousing and transshipment capacities and deepening cooperation with European partners.

According to his assessment, the western regions have actually become the foundation of Ukraine's trade relations with the EU, providing business with stability even in periods of high uncertainty.It is the western corridors that currently provide the main export channel - agricultural, metallurgical, machine-building and other products. This has allowed Ukrainian companies to maintain their presence in European markets and strengthen their positions in a number of segments.Kovzel emphasizes that Western logistics has become an element of national resilience: regions play the role of a “logistical shield” that supports trade, provides access to critical imports, and helps maintain production.In his opinion, further strengthening the infrastructure of this area is a strategic investment in the economy that will contribute to Ukraine’s integration into the European market.It was previously reported that Ukraine and Norway extended the “transport visa-free regime,” and a project to attract women to logistics professions was launched — with the possibility of free training as forklift drivers and foreign trade managers.
