Imports of table eggs to Poland in the first nine months of 2025 almost doubled compared to the same period last year and reached 25.4 thousand tons. This was reported by the National Center for Agricultural Support in Poland (KOWR), writes Bankier.pl. At the same time, exports of eggs for various purposes from Poland in January-September 2025 amounted to 179.8 thousand tons, which almost corresponds to the figure of last year (181.6 thousand tons). Ukraine remains the largest supplier of eggs to the Polish market. In the first three quarters of 2025, about 10 thousand tons of eggs were imported from Ukraine to Poland, while in the same period of 2024 - 5.6 thousand tons.
The second place among suppliers is occupied by Latvia - 3.9 thousand tons compared to 2.5 thousand tons a year earlier. A significant increase in imports was also recorded from Bulgaria - up to 2.1 thousand tons, while in January - September 2024, supplies amounted to only 19 tons. In contrast, egg imports from Germany decreased sharply - from 3 thousand tons in 2024 to 391 tons in 2025. A new player on the market was Turkey, from which almost 1.2 thousand tons of eggs were imported in the first nine months of 2025, while last year there were no supplies. According to the president of the National Federation of Poultry Farmers and Egg Producers of Poland, Pawel Podstawka, the growth of imports is primarily due to the need to preserve export markets.
