Ukraine sent 16.8 thousand tons of apples worth $10.1 million to foreign markets. This is 64% less in quantitative terms than in the 2023/24 season, when exports amounted to approximately 47 thousand tons of apples.Such estimates for the 2024/25 export season were voiced by analysts of the USPA Fruit company to the magazine "Gardening in Ukrainian", writes AgroTimes.According to the head of USPA Fruit Volodymyr Gurzhiy, the average export price for the marketing year increased again, reaching $600/ton. A negative foreign trade balance was also recorded, because from July 2024 to June 2025, Ukraine imported 18.2 thousand tons of apples, almost the entire volume of which (18 thousand tons) was imported since the beginning of the current year.
The main buyers of Ukrainian apples for the past marketing year were the United Arab Emirates (2.9 thousand tons), Saudi Arabia (2.9 thousand tons), Uzbekistan (1.5 thousand tons), Turkey (1.4 thousand tons) and Sweden (0.9 thousand tons).
