Steel consumption in Ukraine in January-August of this year increased to 2.81 million tons, which is 22.6% more than in the same period last year (2.29 million tons). Such data is provided by Ukrmetallurgprom. In 8 months, 1.77 million tons of Ukrainian-made rolled metal entered the domestic market, which is 63% of the total consumption. Another 37% or 1.04 million tons are imported. The share of the import component increased by 0.75% compared to the previous year. Among the main suppliers of rolled metal to Ukraine, the first place is occupied by other European countries (53%), the second is the EU-27 (23.5%), and the third is the countries of Asia (18%).
