PrivatBank increased pre-tax profit by 8.4% in 2025

State-owned PrivatBank increased pre-tax profit by 8.4% in 2025 to UAH 88 billion.
As noted, in 2025, individual funds exceeded UAH 500 billion, which became a historical maximum. The total volume of client funds increased to UAH 731.6 billion, while the bank's loan portfolio (net) increased 1.7 times, to UAH 156 billion. The portfolio of large corporate businesses increased by UAH 11.3 billion during the year, four times.
Pre-tax profit amounted to UAH 88 billion, which is UAH 6.9 billion higher than in 2024. The bank's net interest income grew by 19%, which became one of the key factors in the financial result of the year.
It is noted that in order to implement the main principles of the Lending Development Strategy approved by the Financial Stability Board in June 2024, as well as in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (namely, IFRS 9) and regulatory requirements, the bank derecognized assets related to former owners. The net book value of these assets was zero.
As a result of such derecognition, the share of non-performing assets in the total portfolio decreased from 59.4% to 10%. At the same time, the level of non-performing loans in the portfolio formed after nationalization is 3.3%, which is one of the best indicators in Ukraine and corresponds to the level of developed countries.
Also, in accordance with the norms of the Tax Code, the bank accrued additional income tax liabilities in the amount of UAH 37.5 billion. Thus, according to the results of 2025, about 59 billion UAH of income tax will be transferred to the state budget of Ukraine, which makes PrivatBank the largest taxpayer among banks.
The bank's profit after deducting income tax will be 29.1 billion UAH.
In 2025, PrivatBank allocated 246.2 million UAH to charity, supporting medical institutions, the military, communities and implemented 16 large-scale charitable projects.
