Ukraine increased its exports of chicken eggs by 19%, and its foreign currency earnings by 30.7%

According to the Union of Poultry Breeders of Ukraine, citing data from the State Customs Service, export volumes increased by 19% compared to the same period in 2025, while foreign currency revenue rose by 30.7%.

Key Export Indicators:
1.85 billion units — export volume for the first nine months of 2026.
179.9 million US dollars — total value of shipments.
+19% — growth in export volume (in physical terms).
+30.7% — increase in foreign currency revenue.

Who buys Ukrainian eggs?
European countries were the primary buyers:Spain — 25.2% of exports;
United Kingdom — 12.4%;
Poland — 8.8%;
Czech Republic — 7.9%.
In total, European Union countries accounted for 76.5% of Ukrainian chicken egg exports.

These figures highlight the significant role of the European market for Ukrainian producers and demonstrate sustained demand for domestic products abroad.

What does this mean for the Ukrainian economy?
Increased exports generate foreign currency revenue, support the operations of producers, and foster the development of international trade. Notably, the growth rate of export value outpaced the growth rate of physical export volume. This may be attributed to shifts in export prices and the composition of shipments; however, the provided data alone does not allow for determining the precise contribution of each factor.
